MRU has created an online App that works on a browser or smart phone that allows students to view a list of workshops and tutoring opportunities and sign-up to attend their choice.
This service is available only to existing students with current MRU student online credentials because users will be asked to enter those credentials to use the App, e.g., alastname@my.mru.edu. There is no need to enter the student’s name since the credentials contain name and email address.
The App can be found by logging on to Moodle and clicking on Resources-Knowledge App and it looks like the examples shown below.
Sessions can be either one time, or ongoing until the end of the current semester.
The student selects the workshop or tutoring session that they desire and clicks the Submit button. If a desired session is not available, the student should return later. Only one session may be selected at a time. To sign up for multiple sessions, the student must run the App each time.
Within seconds of clicking submit, the student receives a confirmation at their MRU email inbox, confirming the date(s) and time(s) of the tutoring and the MS Teams or Skype for Business link to attend. The student should add this to their calendar so that at the corresponding date and time, they will be able to attend.
